Cozette Russell is an artist working in photography and documentary film. Her artistic interests range from exploring the interrelationship between people and land to a more recent gaze on experiences in motherhood, encounters with the natural world, and interrogations into the history of institutions and disability.
Her short films have screened at venues including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Wexner Center for the Arts, and her film, ""X" and the Woman" is part of Miranda July’s “Joanie 4 Jackie” archive at the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles. She received her BA from Antioch College in Yellow Springs, OH, and her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
