brookford farm in canterbury, nh

Brookford Farm is grazing some of their cows at the Canterbury Shaker Village.

Tom gives us a tour of the new farm.

A beautiful abandoned house that borders the farm property and is waterfont property along the Merrimac River. Anyone want to live next to an awesome organic farm and fix up an old house? (It’s for sale)

Today the winds were blowing a lot of the soil around. It was like the dust bowl and a little worrisome. I know with some time Luke will do wonders with this land and bring fertility back to the soils.

spring grazing

Miles Smith Farm of Loudon, NH, introduced a few of their Scottish Highland Cattle herd this morning to graze at Emery Farm in Durham. The cows were clearly very excited about the new spring grass.
