Cozette Russell first fell in love with documentary film when she watched Robert Flaherty's Nanook of the North in Mr. Schiot's 5th grade class. Later, she studied filmmaking at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio, and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her cinematic interests are landscape based and explore the relationship between people and land. She is currently the program coordinator at the Film Study Center at Harvard University and she lives with her husband and creative partner Julian Russell in Lee, New Hampshire.
